  3. Lookup your books and magazines with the simplicity of the traditional card 
  4. catalog, but with the efficiency of the computer!  PC-CARD CATALOG (PCCC) is a 
  5. cataloging program designed to provide your personal, church, school, or 
  6. corporate library with a powerful on-line catalog that is easy to use, yet 
  7. sophisticated enough for academic research.  
  8.  
  9. PCCC allows searching by TITLE, AUTHOR, and SUBJECT.  Items may be "scrolled 
  10. through," forward and backward using <Arrow> and <Page> keys.  You may search 
  11. for specific strings by simply typing them on-screen.  Searches are not case-
  12. sensitive and misspellings are usually "close enough."  The user may jump 
  13. between catalogs (AUTHOR, TITLE, SUBJECT) with a single keystroke.

  15. Librarians will appreciate the fast, efficient entry and editing of cataloging 
  16. information plus the intuitive menu access to all activities.  PCCC automatic-
  17. ally files items in AACR2 (that is, "library-", not strict "ASCII-") order.

  19. PCCC is designed to run on the PC family of computers preferably with a hard 
  20. disk.  Both color and monochrome monitors are supported.  A printer is useful, 
  21. though not necessary.  PCCC requires 256K of RAM.  
  22.  
  23. The PCCC documentation will fit in the small "computer-style" binders and may 
  24. be printed using the following command:
  25.                COPY  PCCC.DOC  PRN
  26. To install PCCC onto your computer use the INSTALL.BAT program provided.  Be 
  27. sure you have read the "Getting Started" section of the documentation.  Use 
  28. the command as follows:
  29.                INSTALL  A:  C:  PCCC
  30. This will copy and create the necessary files from drive "A:" onto your fixed 
  31. disk drive "C:" in sub-directory "PCCC".  After completing the installation, 
  32. you may run PCCC by typing the command:
  33.                PCCC

  35. The following files are included with PCCC:
  36.      PCCC.EXE     - PC-CARD CATALOG program. 
  37.      PCCCINST.EXE - Creates configuration, data, and index files.
  38.      PCCC.DOC     - Installation, operation, and reference manual.  
  39.      INSTALL.BAT  - Automatic installation routine.
  40.      CONFIG.SYS   - A necessary "boot up" file.
  41.      README       - This text file.

  43. PC-CARD CATALOG is a Shareware program.  That means: 1) the above set of files 
  44. may be freely copied and given away so long as no alterations are made to any 
  45. of the files.  2) To continue using PCCC beyond a brief trial period, users 
  46. are expected to register.  The registration fee is $39.00 (US funds).  Please
